Major League Comeback

Posted by Lynn Bronikowski May 11 2017

Matt Yallof grew up rooting for the New York Mets dreaming of someday being down on the field as a broadcaster. He achieved that goal as host of The Rundown on the MLB Network.

An ischemic stroke would sideline Yallof last July when he spent a week in ICU and a month in rehab and had to re-learn how to walk and speak.

He’s eased back into his work at MLB Network and now hosts MLB Network Strike Zone every Tuesday and Thursday.

Yallof knew nothing about stroke before he had one. Now he’s willing to share his story to not only give hope to stroke survivors but to raise awareness for stroke.

During National Stroke Awareness Month, Yallof sends a message in a video he filmed for the National Stroke Association.

He’s also telling his story to StrokeSmart magazine, the official publication of the National Stroke Association, which will publish his story in its August issue. Watch for it or sign up now to receive a free subscription.
